A little about me
Dr Gudrun Court
Clinical Psychologist
MA MPhil D Clin Psych
I am a Clinical Psychologist specialising in neuroaffirming ADHD and autism assessment and therapy. I work with adults and adolescents, supporting people to better understand themselves, navigate change and develop ways of living that feel sustainable and meaningful.
My approach is warm, collaborative and strengths-based. I recognise that everyone's journey is different, and I tailor assessment and therapy to your individual needs, experiences, strengths and goals.
I support people experiencing overwhelm, burnout and the complex emotions that can accompany a new diagnosis, as well as those navigating life transitions, relationships, trauma and shame. Together, we can revisit past experiences with greater understanding and self-compassion, while finding ways forward that feel more aligned with who you are.
My therapeutic work draws on Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy and Schema Therapy, alongside trauma-informed and narrative approaches.
Ultimately, my aim is to provide a space where you feel understood and accepted, with support to embrace who you are, honour your needs and create a life that feels meaningful and authentic to you.
I trained as a Clinical Psychologist in Scotland 20 years ago - Aotearoa has been my home since 2008.
Working across the age span in physical and mental health settings.
Specialising in trauma and neurodivergence.
